3 ways to DOMINATE Your Day

What you do each day is important. Each day of your life a building block towards your future. What you do with each day that passes by ultimately determines your destiny.

So if you’re going to have a phenomenal, happy, epic, successful, or awesome future, you need to make each day a stepping-stone towards that beautiful vision.

So how do we make each day count? How do we make each day a stepping stone towards fulfillment and greatness?

There are plenty of ways to make each day count. But the following are the 3 ways can make a HUGE difference towards taking control of your day, as opposed to letting the day take control of you.

3 Ways To Dominate Your Day:

#1- Kick Off Each Day With A Miracle Morning

The Miracle Morning is a best-selling book series by Hal Elrod about the power of taking control of your life by starting each and every morning with habits that put you in a motivated state of mind needed to Dominate Your Day. The Miracle Morning is about waking up 1, 2, 3, or even 4 hours earlier than you need to be up to start your day off empowering habits that will supercharge your day.

The book explains that there are 6 habits that when done in the morning will put you in a highly motivated state of mind and allow you to Dominate Your Day. They are called the Life S.A.V.E.R.S.

  • Silence (meditation)
  • Affirmations
  • Visualization
  • Exercise
  • Reading
  • Scribing (writing or journaling)

These are the 6 habits that, if done in the morning, can transform the way you carry yourself, the way you interact with others, the way you hustle through hard workloads, and the way you perform throughout your day, and even the way you behave while you aren’t at the office—all for the positive. Doing at least one or more of these 6 habits every morning before you head out to work can change your life.

Believe me, I know.

I’ve been a Miracle Morning practitioner for 4 years now. I started meditating first thing in the morning everyday back in 2013 and have not looked back since. The impact that just meditation alone—as far as clarity, positive attitude, happy mentality, tenacity, and work ethic that I carry myself with throughout my days now—has been PHENOMENAL. And that’s not even mentioning the impact of all of the other Miracle Morning Life S.A.V.E.R.S that I’ve been doing over these past 4 years.

Meditation, exercise, affirmations, reading, and writing are my favorites. I usually don’t have enough time to get all of them done. But there is NEVER a day when I leave the house without doing my meditation first.

So my first recommendation for Ways to Dominate Your Day is to Start Each Day With A Miracle Morning!

How you kick off your day each morning MATTERS. How you start each morning has a HUGE effect on your mindset, your mentality, your hustle, your interactions with other people, and your performance throughout your daily life.

So make each morning count. Wake up at least 1 hour earlier than you would to do your Miracle Morning. You won’t regret it.

#2- Write Down Your Short and Long-term Goals Every Morning

When you’re slogging through the difficult moments and heavy workload of your job every day, it’s hard to stay motivated. It’s not easy to stay upbeat, pumped, tenacious, and ready to handle anything throughout the whole day. Staying motivated is hard, especially when you’re not thinking about what you’re doing it all for.

Think about it. When you’re going through your daily work, how often do you reflect on what you’re actually working towards? How often do you think about those HUGE goals that you’re doing it all for?

If you were like I was before I started my daily goal-setting ritual, your answer is: not very often. Because when everything seems to be going south on you, it’s hard to keep in mind that the reason you started that job in the first place is to accomplish amazing goals that you want to make reality.

But when you do write down your short-term and long-term goals every morning, you’re setting yourself up to Dominate Your Day. Because as all of the problems of the day come at you, you’re going to attack those obstacles with a motivated and hungry mindset. Because in the back of your mind, you will know exactly what goals, principles, and values you’re doing it all for.

That’s why my second Way To Dominate Your Day is to Write Down Your Short and Long-term Goals Every Morning. Knowing what your ultimate goals are will become the fuel to the fire that pushes you to succeed through every obstacle.

#3- Determine What Your One Thing Is And DO IT FIRST!

Have you ever heard of the 80-20-Principle?

Discovered by Vilfredo Pareto and made popular by Richard Koch, the 80/20 Principle states that in any given situation, 20% of the input usually produces 80% of the output. In any given company, 20% of the employees produce 80% of the productivity. 20% of the population produces 80% of the wealth. 20% of your daily activities produces 80% of the results that you’re looking for.

That’s right. 20% of what you do produces 80% of the income, accomplishments, happiness, and relationships that you’re seeking to get.

In a book called The One Thing, Keller Williams founder Gary Keller takes the 80/20 Principle one step further. He explains that at any given point in time, there is only One Thing that you can do that will make everything else easier or unnecessary. At any moment, there is One Thing that will produce the most results for you.

Gary explains that even though most of us have to-do lists, many of us really aren’t getting much done. Because activity does not equal productivity. And not all work is created equal. Some items on your to-do-list matter A LOT more than others.

There are a lot of urgent matters that need your attention. But not everything that’s urgent MATTERS in the long run.

And at any given point, there is ONE THING that if done right now, could go a long way towards making the rest of your life more phenomenal.

So the 3rd Way To Dominate Your Day is to Determine What Your One Thing Is And DO IT FIRST!

Don’t spend your whole day doing small items on your to-do list that won’t push you any further into creating that life you deserve.

Ask yourself Gary Keller’s Focusing Question: “What’s the ONE Thing I can do such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?”

Figure out what your most important thing is and knock it out. You’ll be surprised at how taking this approach will transform your life and your success.

So make each day a great one. Make each day a stepping-stone towards that phenomenal dream life that’s waiting for you in your future.
