4 Ways To Do Something Today Your Future Self Will Be Proud Of

What kind of life is your future self-going to lead? Will it be an impactful one full of joy, love, wonder, passion, excitement, and achievement? Will it be a stressful life? An awesome life? Or an average life?

Will it be any different from the life you’re leading now?

If you don’t like the answers to the questions above, I have great news for you. They don’t have to stay the same. Because your future is 1000% up to you. The kind of life that your future self is going to lead is entirely determined by the choices, decisions, actions, beliefs, and habits that you are partaking in right now, at this very moment.

On any given day, you have a choice to do something that your future self will either be proud or ashamed of.

If you’re like me, you want nothing more than to create a life that your future self is going to LOVE in every way possible.

So the following are 4 Ways to make that happen—4 Ways To Do Something Today Your Future Self Will Be Proud Of:

#1- Read At Least 20 Pages Of A Life-Changing Book

So there is no greater joy in life than reading life-changing books that add to the quality of my life—and then putting them into practice. Books are the cornerstone of self-development and an incredibly powerful Way To Do Something Today Your Future Self Will Be Proud Of.

The books you read right now are the building blocks of who your future self is going to be. They are the foundational stepping-stones that will carry you into that dreamland of fulfillment and success waiting for you in your future.

No matter where you are trying to go, books can take you there. There is no struggle or situation that you are going through that an author has already written about before. And there is no solution that you can’t find through reading a life-changing book.

Self-improvement books like Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, The Power Of Habit by Charles Duhigg, Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl, or The Millionaire Real Estate Agent by Gary Keller will give you the tools, ideas, tips, strategies, and secret sauce you need to create a life that your future self is going to LOVE.

So in order to make that future version of you as proud as possible, make sure to Read At Least 20 Pages Of A Life-Changing Book.

#2- Do At Least One Thing You’ve Been Procrastinating On

So in the video above world-renowned motivator Robin Sharma talks about how beating procrastination starts with small steps, small wins, and small victories.

Willpower is like a muscle that gets stronger and stronger the more you use it. So by knocking out smaller items on your to-do list like doing your laundry, doing the dishes, picking up dry-cleaning, hitting the gym, or walking your pet, you are building the willpower that will allow you to stop procrastinating on the BIG stuff like getting started on that life-changing project.

So Do At Least One Thing You’ve Been Procrastinating On today. And make it a habit to get things done, no matter how small they are. You are going to build a phenomenal willpower that your future self will use to create massive success.

#3- Make At Least One Connection With Someone Who Will Lift You Higher!

How many times has it been said that success is dictated by the people you surround yourself with?

While there are many other facets, aspects, and building blocks needed for massive achievement, surrounding yourself with incredible people is an indispensable part of the process of creating an incredible life for yourself. To be a hustler, you HAVE to surround yourself with the motivated, hungry, ambitious, passionate, and like-minded hustlers that share your mission.

You got to align yourself with people that will push you to greatness.

Though creating a whole new circle of hustlers to associate with might sound intimidating, it is a task that you can start on today by Making At Least One Connection With Someone Who Will Lift You Higher.

You never know, that connection that you make today might one day play the Shaquille O’Neal to your Kobe Bryant, 40 to your Drake, or Steve Wozniak to your Steve Jobs.

#4- Commit or Re-Commit To Your Passion!

Do you consider yourself a passionate person? Is there a certain craft, vocation, career, hobby, or activity that excites you, gets you out of bed each morning, fulfills you, and lights your soul on fire?

What does it for you? Do you know what your passion is?

If your not sure, I want you to break out a pen and paper and jot down every single thing that you want for your life until you come up with a craft that you would like or love to pursue. Then once you know what that is, COMMIT TO IT. Dedicate yourself to a lifelong commitment to doing Whatever It Takes to make that vocation your full-time work. And if you already have a career that you’re satisfied with, start off by making a part-time commitment to pursuing this new passion.

And for those of you who are already aware of your passion, I want you to take a moment to Re-Commit to spending the rest of your life in pursuit of that craft that you love so dearly.

Because no matter what you do, you are going to be working 5-days-a-week to put food on the table and pay your bills. You’re going to spend the majority of your life doing hard work, battling through challenges, and overcoming failures. So you might always do it in the name of something you love.
